This famous stockmans hut featured in the Man From Snowy River Movie (1982). Perched on top of Mount Stirling, the hut burned down in the bushfires of 2006 and was rebuilt. Still used as a shelter for many bushwalkers in the high country as the weather has been known to change very quickly in the mountains.
